Cubeshop.ch was founded in 2012 by Aladin Bouddat. At the time, he was just 14 years old. What began as a small project in a child's bedroom in Zurich developed from a pure passion for Rubik's cubes and puzzles into one of the best-known online shops for speedcubing in Switzerland.
As an enthusiastic speedcuber, Aladin originally wanted to solve a simple problem. High-quality magic cubes were difficult to find in Switzerland at the time. So he started importing cubes himself and making them available to other cubing fans. This idea gave rise to Cubeshop.ch, a shop by a speedcuber for speedcubers.
Over the years, the product range has grown steadily. Today, Cubeshop offers a wide selection of over 100 different cube variants and puzzle products. These include classic 3×3 speed cubes, complex puzzle designs, and accessories for ambitious cubing enthusiasts.
Many people rediscovered the Rubik's cube, especially during the pandemic. As a result, Cubeshop also grew rapidly. The former youth project became an established company. Cubeshop is now a limited liability company and supplies speedcubers throughout Switzerland.
In addition to the online shop, cubeshop.com was launched as another project with an international focus. This platform is aimed at companies and offers individually branded Rubik's Cubes with company logos. Companies use these cubes for marketing campaigns, events, or as creative promotional gifts.
